On the floor

What a headshot station does to a show floor.

Nobody queues for a tote bag. People will stand in line for twenty minutes, inside your footprint, for a headshot they would otherwise pay for.

Attendees waiting in line at a HeadshotDC headshot station inside an expo hall, with studio lighting and a branded backdrop
The line is the marketing Your booth stops being something people walk past. Everyone in that queue is standing under your logo, inside your space, with time to kill and your team right there.

A real studio, not a photo booth Profoto lighting, a proper lens, a clean backdrop, and a photographer who directs each person for the thirty seconds it takes to get it right. That is why these end up on LinkedIn instead of in a drawer.
Your brand, not ours

100% white label, start to finish.

Attendees never see a vendor name. As far as anyone at the show is concerned, you gave them the headshot.

On the image

Your branding, if you want it

We can add your logo or a clean border to the delivered files, or leave them completely plain. Nothing is ever stamped across a face and there is no watermark. You pick the treatment before the show and it holds for the whole set.

On the delivery

Sent under your name

The delivery email carries your branding and comes from you, not from us. Nothing in it mentions HeadshotDC unless you want it to.

On the data

The list is yours

Everyone who steps in front of the light gives their details to get their photo. You receive the whole list, cleaned, after the show.

Why sponsors book it

Four returns on one activation.

Traffic, data, your own team and your brand, out of one footprint on one day.

01

It brings the floor to your booth

Swag gets taken and forgotten. A headshot is worth real money and everybody needs a current one, so attendees look you up on the map and walk over on purpose. The queue does the rest: visible down the aisle all day, dwell time in minutes rather than seconds, and a reason for your team to open every conversation.

02

The giveaway is the lead capture

The headshot is the offer. Their details are the price of admission, and they hand them over gladly, because that is how the photo reaches them. No badge scan, no guessing whether the interest was real. One clean list after the show, and your delivery email lands in their inbox days later.

03

Your whole staff in one place

Your people are already in the same building, which happens once a year. Shoot them at the same station, on the same light, on the same backdrop, and the mismatched website grid fixes itself. Leadership, sales and regional staff in one sitting, booth staff in the quiet hour before doors open. No second booking and no chasing anyone for a photo.

04

We run all of it

Photographers, lighting, backdrops and crew on site. Shooting, check-in, lead capture, culling, retouching and delivery are ours, done off the floor. Nobody on your team touches a card reader, a spreadsheet or a Dropbox link. You take the traffic, the data and the credit.

Know what you are buying

A real studio, not a photo booth.

Both put a camera in your booth. Only one gives your attendees a picture they are still using next year.

HeadshotDC station A working photographer, lighting the way a studio lights
  • A headshot good enough to replace the one on their profile
  • Profoto studio lighting, shaped for faces
  • Someone directing every person, so nobody leaves with a bad frame
  • Culled, colour corrected and retouched after the show
  • Delivered under your name, white label, start to finish
  • Opt-in lead list, cleaned and handed to you
Automated photo booth A screen, a countdown and one flash
  • A novelty print that goes in a drawer
  • One fixed flash on the camera axis
  • Nobody watching, so half the frames are unusable
  • Whatever the machine printed is what you get
  • The vendor's name on the screen and the email
  • An optional email field most people skip
Where we differ, hard

No AI. Not for retouching, not for anything.

Some event photo vendors now sell AI retouching and AI styling as paid add-ons. That means every face from your show gets uploaded to a third-party model. We do not do that, at any price. Your attendees are photographed by a person, edited by a person, and their faces stay with us.

0%AI in our
pipeline

Retouched by hand

Every frame is selected and finished by our own retouchers in our own studio. No generative fill, no synthetic faces, no "AI headshot" pass. What we hand back is a photograph of the person who sat down.

Nothing leaves our hands

Images and attendee data stay inside our pipeline. They are not fed to a model, sold to a data broker, or run through a third-party face service. Keeping post-production in-house is what makes that promise possible.

Privacy is the first requirement

A face is biometric data, which is exactly why we treat it as the most sensitive thing on the drive. More on how we think about this in privacy in the AI era and what AI headshot apps do not tell you.

Right page?

This page is for large-scale events: expos, trade shows, conferences and anything where hundreds to thousands of people go through in a day. It is not in-office corporate headshots. If you want your own staff photographed at your office or in our studio, that is priced per person and you can work it out yourself on the calculator.

Questions

Before you ask us for a number.

How many headshots can you really do in one day?

Up to 2,000 in a single day. One station handles roughly 50 people an hour, about 500 across a ten-hour floor, so volume comes from running stations in parallel rather than from a faster photographer. Four stations is 2,000. Need more? Ask and we will size it.

Is this a headshot booth, a headshot kiosk, or something else?

People search for all three, and a headshot booth or headshot kiosk usually means an automated unit: a camera in a box, a fixed light, a screen telling you where to stand. What we bring is a staffed headshot station. A photographer directs every person, the lighting is set for the room, and the files are retouched by hand afterwards. Same job on the floor plan, a very different result on your team's LinkedIn page.

Can the photos carry our branding?

If you want them to. We can add your logo or a clean border to the delivered files, and we can just as easily leave them completely plain. Nothing is ever stamped across someone's face and there is no watermark. You choose the treatment before the show.

What does white label delivery actually mean?

Attendees receive their headshot from you, not from us. The delivery email carries your branding and your name, and nothing in it mentions HeadshotDC unless you ask us to include it. That is about the delivery, not the picture: whether the image itself carries any branding is a separate choice and the default is a clean file.

What does it cost?

$12,000 per station per day. Stations three and four are half price, so a big day costs less per head than a small one. Half days are half the rate, on top of one full day minimum. The rate covers crew, lighting, backdrops, equipment, retouching and delivery; travel and accommodation are quoted separately. Price it yourself on the calculator.

Can we have more than one backdrop?

Yes. Several backgrounds can run at once, chosen before load-in, including a colour matched to your brand.

Who owns the lead data?

You do. Everyone photographed gives their details at the station in order to get their image, and the cleaned list goes to you after the show. Nobody is captured without knowing it.

Are expo headshots retouched, or straight out of camera?

Retouched. Selection, colour correction and retouching happen off the floor after the show, to the same standard as our studio work, and the finished files go out automatically.

Do you travel nationwide?

Yes. The studio is in Washington, DC and we work shows all over the country. There is no travel charge inside 25 miles of the DC metro. Anywhere else, travel and accommodation are not included in the day rate and are quoted with the booking as their own line, never as a surprise. Tell us the city and the dates and it is in the quote.

Can you shoot our own staff at the same event?

That is one of the best reasons to book it. Your regional and remote people are in the same building for the only time all year. Booth staff usually get shot in the quiet hour before doors open, and the whole team ends up on one consistent look.

We just want our office staff photographed. Is this the right page?

No. This page is for expos, trade shows and large events. For your own staff at your office or in our DC studio, that is priced per person and you can price it yourself on the corporate calculator.
